Thyssengas and Cogas Establish First Cross-Border Dutch-German Hydrogen Pipeline Connection

Thyssengas H2 GmbH and Cogas have completed an agreement to establish the first connection between a German transmission system operator and a Dutch distribution system operator for hydrogen infrastructure.
The contract specifies a T-piece connection that will link Cogas's distribution network to Thyssengas's hydrogen pipeline running from Vlieghuis to Ochtrup. This cross-border connection marks a significant milestone in European hydrogen infrastructure development.
The collaboration is designed to provide early hydrogen supply access to industrial facilities and small and medium-sized enterprises located in the Dutch region of Twente. The project receives backing from a German-Dutch consortium that includes the Province of Overijssel, H2HUB Twente, and TECHLAND.
