Siemens Mobility to Supply 12 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Trains to Romania

Siemens Mobility Association has been awarded a contract to supply 12 hydrogen fuel cell trains to Romania under an agreement valued between RON 1.596 billion and RON 2.468 billion (approximately $350 million–$541 million) excluding VAT, with the final cost depending on service duration.
The contract encompasses the delivery of 12 hydrogen fuel cell electric trains intended for passenger service operations. The agreement also includes long-term maintenance support with a potential duration of up to 30 years, with provisions for contract extension.
