Seven Companies Join Hydrogen Council, Expanding Global Hydrogen Value Chain

The Hydrogen Council, a CEO-led global hydrogen alliance, announced the addition of seven new member companies on April 14, 2026. The new members—ANDRITZ, Enagás, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, Intelligent Energy, ITM Power, Keppel Infrastructure Division, and Lotte Chemical—bring capabilities spanning hydrogen production, infrastructure development, and end-use applications across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
According to the Council, these members have progressed from planning stages to active hydrogen project deployment. Notable projects include Europe's first large-scale renewable hydrogen plants for steel production, commercial renewable ammonia shipments, and new electrolyzer capacity. ANDRITZ is operating a 1 GW electrolyzer gigafactory in Germany. Enagás is developing hydrogen infrastructure in Spain and Europe, including the H2med project and Spanish Hydrogen Backbone. ITM Power has deployed or is building more than 500 MW of electrolyzer projects.
The Hydrogen Council represents approximately 140 companies from over 20 countries, with combined market capitalization of $9 trillion, 7.1 million full-time employees, and $6.4 trillion in revenues. The organization states its mission is advancing hydrogen deployment through policy advocacy, investment facilitation, and cross-sector collaboration across the hydrogen value chain.
