Oman Seeks Consultant for Feasibility Study on 1 GW Green Hydrogen Power Project

Oman's Nama Power and Water Procurement (PWP) agency has issued a tender seeking a consultant to conduct a feasibility study on a proposed green hydrogen-based independent power project.
According to tender details, the selected consultant will perform a technoeconomic assessment of a power generation facility capable of operating on up to 100% hydrogen, with an indicative capacity range of 800 MW to 1,000 MW.
Tender documents are available for purchase through PWP's website for OMR 150 ($390.11) through May 31. Small and medium-sized enterprises holding a valid Riyada card are exempt from the fee. The application deadline is June 21, 2026.
This development follows Oman's third green hydrogen auction launched in August 2025. The country's first hydrogen auction, managed through Hydrom—the central authority overseeing Oman's green hydrogen sector development—awarded three projects.
