OCI Global Hands Over Beaumont New Ammonia Facility to Woodside Following Performance Testing

OCI Global announced on March 25, 2026, that the Beaumont New Ammonia (BNA) facility in Beaumont, Texas, has successfully completed performance testing and been formally handed over to Woodside, including transfer of the operations team.
As part of the divestment, OCI received USD 470 million in deferred consideration, representing 20% of total proceeds, less deductions for outstanding construction obligations and closing-related adjustments. The company expects net proceeds of USD 242 million in 2026, based on previously disclosed total completion costs of USD 1.8 billion.
The BNA facility is described as a first-of-its-kind, world-scale greenfield ammonia facility in the United States, completed after more than 6 million man-hours of work. The project was delivered amid challenging U.S. construction conditions, including inflationary pressures and supply chain constraints.
With the handover complete, Woodside assumes full operational responsibility for the facility. OCI's remaining obligations are limited to closing out invoices and resolving disputes related to completed work, in accordance with contractual terms with Woodside.
OCI Global CEO Hassan Badrawi stated the milestone represents "a significant accomplishment for the Company and a testament to the execution capabilities of OCI and its partners' teams."
