Kent Selected for Engineering and Construction Management of MorGen Energy's 20MW Welsh Green Hydrogen Facility

Kent, a global engineering and project delivery company, has been contracted by MorGen Energy to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for a 20MW green hydrogen electrolysis facility at Milford Haven in West Wales.
The project is among the first electrolytic hydrogen plants in the UK to secure a production contract under the government's Hydrogen Production Business Model (HPBM), administered through the Low Carbon Contracts Company's Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1). The development supports the UK's Net Zero 2050 targets by scaling domestic low-carbon hydrogen production.
Kent's scope includes Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) verification, detailed design work, and Principal Designer responsibilities. The company will also manage procurement, supplier coordination, and complete construction oversight. Kent will oversee integration of ITM's Poseidon modular electrolysers and other equipment packages.
MorGen Energy, a subsidiary of Trafigura, selected Kent following a competitive tender process, citing the company's expertise in hydrogen project execution and proven EPCM delivery capabilities. Kent will deploy resources from its UK headquarters in Woking alongside on-site teams in Wales.
