Hyundai Translead Establishes Canadian Dealership for XCIENT Fuel Cell Trucks

Hyundai Translead has designated Breadner Trailers, an Ontario-based transport truck trailer provider, as its dealer for XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks in Canada. The dealership agreement represents an expansion of commercial hydrogen mobility infrastructure in the Canadian market.
Eleven XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks are currently operating in Canada through several hydrogen mobility initiatives, including the BC Hydrogen Ports Project, the H2 Gateway Project led by Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation (HTEC), and the Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicles (HDZEV) Project overseen by Innovate BC. As of January 2026, the XCIENT Fuel Cell truck has accumulated more than 12 million miles globally in Europe and nearly 1 million miles in North America.
Chul Youn Park, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Commercial Vehicle and Light Commercial Vehicle Business Division at Hyundai Motor Company, stated that Canada is a key market for hydrogen-powered truck commercialization. The dealership agreement is designed to accelerate hydrogen mobility adoption while aligning with Canadian government policies and customer needs.
Robert Breadner, President of Breadner Trailers, cited the vehicle's advanced technology and proven performance as factors supporting commercial fleet adoption. Sean Kenney, CEO of Hyundai Translead, emphasized the partnership's role in advancing clean transportation solutions across North America.
