H2sea Launches Onshore Hydrogen Production Modules in Tokyo

H2sea unveiled its new onshore hydrogen production modules this week in Tokyo, marking an expansion of the company's existing offshore hydrogen platform portfolio. The modular systems are designed as flexible building blocks that can be adapted to different production capacities and site conditions for industrial and urban applications.
CEO Edwin van Drunen and CTO Tom Evertse visited Tokyo to conduct meetings with Japanese utilities at the Tokyo Innovation Base and participate in the EU Business Mission programme and Smart Energy Week.
According to van Drunen, Japan represents an ideal market for the technology launch. "As a highly innovative and technology-driven energy market, Japan is actively investing in hydrogen as a cornerstone of its energy transition and is looking for high-quality, scalable solutions," he stated. "The growing demand for hydrogen applications on land makes it a strong match for H2sea's modular hydrogen production solutions."
The initiative aligns with H2sea's broader mission to accelerate large-scale hydrogen production deployment globally to support the energy transition.
