Go Energy and SARCO Launch $900 Million Green Ammonia Project in Saudi Arabia

Go Energy, a US-based company, has partnered with SARCO, part of ETHRAA Holding, to advance a major green ammonia project in Saudi Arabia's Jazan region. The facility will integrate green ammonia production with a hybrid renewable energy platform consisting of a solar plant and onshore wind farm exceeding 600 MW of installed capacity, along with grid interconnection infrastructure.
The produced ammonia is primarily intended for export to European and Asian markets, including Japan and South Korea, where demand for clean hydrogen derivatives is increasing. Total investment is expected to exceed $900 million.
The joint venture combines Go Energy's project development expertise with SARCO's financial resources. SARCO, part of the ETHRAA Group, reported revenues exceeding $1 billion last year. Technical advisory and engineering support are being provided by TSK and Exera.
Beyond ammonia production, the Clean Energy platform is also advancing projects based on Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology to power data centers in Saudi Arabia. Go Energy is simultaneously developing projects in Huelva, Spain, and Paraguay as part of a broader global low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia platform.
